The Inclusive-Exclusive Clan

The Inclusive-Exclusive Clan

The New Human Technology of Belonging

Sexuality, Puberty, PMS/PMT, Menopause, Citizen DREX, and the Latam Clan as Body-Territory

The central idea of this Live is simple and radical:

real belonging metabolizes what becomes heavy when carried alone.

No one regulates alone all the time. The human body is not only cognition, willpower, productivity, or performance. The body is puberty, sexuality, hormones, sleep, shame, desire, comparison, school, money, work, territory, food, music, movement, family, community, and State.

In BrainLatam2026 language, when these forces become too intense without belonging, the body may be pushed into Zone 3: prolonged defense, rigidity, alertness, anxiety, irritation, compulsion, freezing, and loss of Fruition. Science speaks of part of this process as allostatic load: the accumulated cost of adapting to stress over time. A 2023 systematic review on children and adolescents links allostatic load with poorer health outcomes, reinforcing that young bodies cannot be understood outside their biological, social, and environmental context.

Puberty, sexuality, PMS/PMT, and menopause are not failures of the body

Puberty is not only a physical change. It is a neuroendocrine, emotional, social, and territorial transition. A 2024 systematic review of population-based studies found that pubertal hormones are associated with some mental-health outcomes in children and adolescents, although findings vary by hormone, context, sex, and study design.

Sexuality also needs language, care, consent, dignity, and age-appropriate education. The WHO states that comprehensive sexuality education gives young people accurate, age-appropriate information about their bodies, relationships, sexual and reproductive health, rights, and well-being; it also emphasizes that good education supports respectful relationships and informed decisions.

PMS/PMT — Premenstrual Syndrome / Premenstrual Tension — and more severe conditions such as PMDD show that cyclical bodily changes can affect mood, behavior, rumination, irritability, pain, sleep, and emotional regulation. A 2025 systematic review highlights emotion-regulation difficulties as relevant in PMDD and severe PMS, which supports a careful, non-moralistic reading of these experiences.

Menopause is also not an ending or a decline. It is another major neuroendocrine transition. A 2025 review reports that brain fog, sleep disruption, and mood changes are common during the menopausal transition and can affect health, relationships, quality of life, and productivity.

In BrainLatam2026:

the body is not wrong.
The body is crossing a territory.
When the territory changes, the clan must also be reconfigured.

The Inclusive-Exclusive Clan

The Inclusive-Exclusive Clan is the network each person configures so the body can signal, discharge tensions, live emotions, metabolize feelings, and return to Fruition.

It is inclusive because it may involve possible family, teachers, friends, pets, parks, restaurants, sports, music, walks, safe cafés, community spaces, therapeutic care, spiritual practices that do not capture the body, cultural groups, and territories where the body breathes.

It is exclusive because it is not any group. It is the singular clan that each body recognizes as safe. It is the configured network where Tekoha opens, APUS expands, and Jiwasa becomes concrete.

A friend may be clan.
A teacher may be clan.
A dog may be clan.
A park may be clan.
A restaurant where the body feels welcomed may be clan.
A sport practiced without humiliation may be clan.
Music may be clan.
A possible family may be clan.
A State that recognizes the citizen as a living unit may also become part of the clan.

Positive social connection is increasingly described as a key target for youth mental health. A 2025 review argues that meaningful and supportive social connections can be central to improving youth well-being, and the WHO’s 2025 Commission on Social Connection also frames connection as protective for health across the lifespan.

In BrainLatam2026:

autonomy is not carrying everything alone.
Autonomy is knowing how to configure one’s own ecosystem of regulation.

The Latam Clan also requires a position of State

The Latam Clan is not only affective. It is also political.

Each individual must be recognized as a basic indivisible unit of the State: not merely a consumer, worker, voter, patient, student, or tax number, but a living body that needs minimum energy, territory, care, movement, education, health, safety, and belonging.

This is where Citizen DREX enters.

The official Drex is the Brazilian Central Bank’s digital-currency project and pilot environment for secure transactions with digital assets; Citizen DREX, in this BrainLatam2026 proposal, is not the official BCB policy, but a political-neurobiological hypothesis: money as civic metabolism, distributed at the citizen level to reduce permanent economic threat and support belonging.

Money without belonging becomes Zone 3.
Citizen DREX is money with belonging.

Citizen DREX is not money as a prize for those who “won.” It is money as minimal civic energy so the body does not live kidnapped by fear.

The analogy is direct:

just as a cell needs energy to function, the citizen needs an economic base to belong, study, create, care, and participate in public life.

A State that abandons its basic units produces social Zone 3.
A State that recognizes each person as an indivisible living unit begins to create metabolic belonging.

The New World without colonization

The Latam Clan is the rebirth of the idea of a New World without colonization.

Not a New World conquered, extracted, catechized, classified, and transformed into commodity. A real New World begins when the body recognizes itself as Body-Territory: responsible for the planet, water, forests, waste, food, animals, cities, children, elders, and future generations.

Here, BrainLatam2026 connects the Latam Clan with Bribri Zero-Waste Prosperity as an ethical image: prosperity not as accumulation, but as clean, circular, relational, territorial metabolism. Public descriptions of Bribri cosmovision emphasize nature as home, culture, identity, and food source; a 2022 case study also argues that environmental protection must take Indigenous cosmological and self-determination perspectives seriously.

This also connects with the global zero-waste and circular-economy agenda. UNEP’s 2024 Global Waste Management Outlook states that fully committing to zero-waste and circular-economy societies could generate major economic gains compared with business-as-usual waste pathways.

The Latam Clan also dialogues with Pachamama, Buen Vivir, and the Rights of Nature. Recent work on Buen Vivir and sustainability emphasizes biocentric/ecocentric standpoints, relational coexistence among forms of life, and recognition of Indigenous and local worldviews.

We do not live on Pachamama.
We are Pachamama in human form.

That sentence changes everything.

It changes sexuality, because the body is no longer shame.
It changes puberty, because transformation becomes territory.
It changes PMS/PMT, because cyclicity becomes signal.
It changes menopause, because transition becomes reconfiguration.
It changes money, because economy becomes metabolism.
It changes the State, because each person becomes an indivisible living unit.
It changes ecology, because the planet is no longer outside the body.

Space and movement for the body to signal

The Inclusive-Exclusive Clan must give the body space and movement.

A body cannot regulate if it has no place to signal.
A body cannot metabolize emotions if every signal is silenced.
A body cannot return from Zone 3 if every environment demands performance, obedience, comparison, consumption, or shame.

That is why parks, walks, sports, music, pets, restaurants, classrooms, safe teachers, possible families, and community spaces matter. Green-space exposure has been associated with lower risk of several common psychiatric disorders in a 2024 meta-analysis, although mechanisms and urban contexts still require careful study.

Companion animals may also participate in regulation for some adolescents. A 2022 study on companion animals and adolescent stress during the COVID-19 pandemic examined differences in stress, positive affect, and coping among dog owners, other pet owners, and non-pet owners, supporting the idea that pets can be part of a broader ecology of emotional support, depending on context and responsibility.

Sports and music are ancestral technologies of Jiwasa. They organize rhythm, breathing, coordination, belonging, attention, and shared regulation. In the Latam Clan, sport is not humiliation; music is not entertainment only; movement is not productivity. They are ways for the body to say: I am here, I feel, I move, I belong.

EEG, NIRS/fNIRS, HRV, and the experimental question

A BrainLatam study on the Inclusive-Exclusive Clan could compare young people and adults across different transition states: puberty, school pressure, sexuality education, PMS/PMT, menopause, work stress, economic insecurity, and safe belonging contexts.

With EEG/ERP, we could measure attention, error prediction, feedback processing, emotional salience, and cognitive control.

With NIRS/fNIRS, especially in hyperscanning, we could observe prefrontal activation and synchrony during teacher-student interaction, friendship, music, sport, family conversation, and community rituals.

With HRV/RMSSD, respiration, GSR, EMG, and eye-tracking, we could follow the whole body: autonomic regulation, tension, recovery, vigilance, freeze patterns, and return to elasticity.

The experimental question becomes:

what changes in the brain, body, and social field when a person stops facing transition alone and enters a configured clan of belonging?

The political question becomes:

can a State that recognizes each individual as a basic indivisible unit reduce social Zone 3 through material safety, Citizen DREX, territory, care, and ecological responsibility?

The ecological question becomes:

can the Latam Clan transform prosperity from accumulation into zero-waste metabolism, Body-Territory, and Pachamama responsibility?

Closing

The Inclusive-Exclusive Clan is the new human technology of belonging.

It is not nostalgia for tribe.
It is not dependence.
It is not identity closure.
It is not escape from responsibility.

It is a post-modern, decolonial, scientific, affective, political, and ecological configuration of life.

Each body needs a clan.
Each clan needs territory.
Each territory needs a State.
Each State must recognize the citizen as an indivisible living unit.
Each living unit must assume responsibility for Pachamama.

Sexuality, puberty, PMS/PMT, and menopause can push the body toward Zone 3 when there is no language, belonging, territory, or care.

But when there is Jiwasa, Tekoha breathes.
When Tekoha breathes, APUS expands.
When APUS expands, the body can signal.
When the body can signal, emotions and feelings can be metabolized.
When belonging becomes real, what was weight begins to circulate as life.

The Latam Clan is the rebirth of the New World without colonization: Citizen DREX as economic belonging, Bribri Zero-Waste Prosperity as territorial ethics, Pachamama as living identity, and Jiwasa as the collective body learning to regulate, create, and care.
